One team. One vision.
Total project certainty.

This R&D Centre exemplifies our ability to deliver complex, research-driven facilities that balance rigorous technical requirements with place-making.

Set within landscaped gardens, the design creates a restorative environment that supports staff and visitors alike.

The planning separates public and staff zones to support controlled interaction, educational engagement and efficient workflows. At the heart of the facility is a PC2 laboratory designed specifically for training with specific requirements.

Key challenges included:

  • Designing and integrating a PC2 laboratory with controlled access and specialised containment measures.
  • Streamlining operational procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
  • Implementing specialised waste disposal and hazardous-waste management systems.
  • Engineering mechanical systems to safely extract toxic gases and maintain environmental control.
  • Installing dedicated clean-room zones, compliant shower and eyewash facilities, and durable and hygienic finishes.
  • Inter-connecting public and staff zones to enable education and outreach without compromising safety.
  • A purpose-built visitor and education centre that supports knowledge sharing.
  • Designing a structure to accommodate the use of reclaimed frameless glass panels
